Just a quick story today… I first heard the the acronym for “the 7 P’s” when I was a Senior Airman (SrA) in The United States Air Force (stationed at Ramstein Air Base, West Germany).
Back in the day, when I was sitting in on my first chemical warfare training class, and the instructor informed us all about the new chemical weapons that the Russian Army had at their disposal, which they could quickly deploy and dump all over our air base if things went bad.
So the Technical Sergeant (TSgt) informed us about the 7P’s for staying alive during a biological warfare attack on our air base. The TSgt had my full and undivided attention that day. The 7P’s adage is often used in project planning, or when training for life-or-death situations. So without further ado, here are the 7P’s:
When the 7P’s were explained, during the chemical warfare training, the humor and shock of the mild expletive helped make the adage sink deep into my subconscious. I have carried the 7P’s around with me ever since. Hopefully, you put them to good use for job planning and taking your security business to new heights.
